QBSF is a proprietary serum-free media line of four media. Each designed for specific applications where serum-free conditions are required, or more advantageous.

QBSF-55 is a proprietary low protein (67,4 ±15% µg/ml) serum-free medium. It is designed to support the growth of hybridomas and enhance the production of monoclonal antibodies. The low protein concentration in QBSF-55 simplifies the downstream processing and recovery of monoclonal antibodies. Using this reduces target protein losses due to co-separation with serum or other proteins present in high concentration.
QBSF-56 is a proprietary serum-free formulation engineered to support lymphocytes blastogenesis. In addition, this can be used as an intermediate medium in the process of weaning fastidious cells from growth in a serum-supplemented medium to a low protein serum-free medium. It has also been used successfully to support the proliferation of primary cell cultures.
QBSF-58 is a proprietary serum-free medium designed to support murine and human bone marrow cell growth. This supports the differentiation of human or murine stem and/or progenitor cells to erythrocytes, granulocytes, and lymphocytes in the presence of the appropriate cytokines, It is favorable for both short-term and long-term expansion of marrow repopulating cells.
QBSF-60 is a proprietary serum-free medium that supports the expansion of human hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. It supports CD34+ cells derived from normal bone marrow, cord blood, peripheral blood stem cells mobilised with cytokines for ex-vivo expansion and differentiation to erythrocytes, granulocytes, and lymphocytes.
The QBSF products have been used successfully used in different cell culture applications, investigators are encouraged to explore new uses.
