N,N-Dimethylglycine is a type of quaternary ammonium compound which exhibits a variety of biological effects.
N,N-Dimethylglycine has been used as a reference standard for the quantification of N,N-dimethylglycine in human plasma and serum by normal phase high performance liquid chromatography combined with triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS/MS) operating on positive-ion mode, in human urine by stable-isotope dilution ultra-performance liquid chromatography−tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC−MS/MS) as well as UPLC coupled with quadrupole linear ion trap MS and in various soy sauces as hydrophilic metabolites by HPLC-MS.
