Octyl-β-D-thioglucopyranosid nichtionisches Detergens, Pierce™
Octyl-β-D-thioglucopyranosid
Octylthioglucoside (OTG) is a low-molecular weight non ionic detergent that is used for cell lysis and non denaturing protein solubilisation.
- Resistant to beta-D-glucoside glucohydrolase degradation
- Unaffected by beta-glucosidase enzyme
- More stable than octyl beta-glucoside
- Can be removed from solution by dialysis
- Optically clear, low absorbance at 280 nm
