Human Recombinant Cathepsin F (from Insect cells)
Lieferant: ENZO LIFE SCIENCES
Recombinant glycosylated procathepsin F cloned from human cDNA (NM_003793), expressed in insect cells, and purified as the active form of the enzyme. Cathepsin F, a member of the papain family of lysosomal cysteine proteases, acts upon proteins such as MHC Class II-associated invariant chain and ApoB-100.
- Produced in insect cells (secreted) as untagged proenzyme; activated during purification
- Highly active
- Purified by multi-step chromatography (SDS-PAGE)
- Useful tool to study enzyme kinetics, cleave target substrates, and screen for inhibitors
It is a lysosomal protease expressed in numerous tissues, notably brain and macrophages. It functions in the immune system and is implicated in disease states such as atherosclerosis, cancer, and angiogenesis.
It has a liquid formulation in 20 mM NaOAc at pH 5,0, containing 2,5 mM EDTA, 250 mM sodium chloride and 20 mM L-cysteine.
One unit hydrolyses 1 µmol Z-Phe-Arg-AMC substrate (OMNICATHEPSIN® Fluorogenic substrate) per min. at 37 °C.
